Tutor in Eureka, California
I am a practicing freelance illustrator who has diverse experience in teaching art in after school programs, elementary school, high school, and pre-k. I hold a BFA in Illustration from Minneapolis College of Art and Design and have completed the College of Visual Arts (St. Paul, MN) Teaching Artist program. I have also been Montessori trained.
Currently I am available for private art lessons of most any sort! What do you need?
Tutoring of specific mediums, guiding general experimentation, thinking outside the box in new ways, mentorship/education for emerging artists on the business side of the art world, playing with color in new ways, and/or any area or topic you want to focus on are all things I can do.
I have significant experience with acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolor, ink (painting drawing), gouache, pencil, pen, mixed media, relief printmaking, and more.
Teaching anything from fundamental linear perspective to color theory to guiding experimentation and/or playing around in constructive ways are all enjoyable options.
More than any of this...I want to have fun! Most important. If you don't like what you're working on, it won't be that interesting.
My website is www.....com, I specialize in concept art and editorial illustration. Resume available upon request.
