Hello! I am a College of Wooster '19 graduate with a double major in Chinese and Physics. I have been tutoring in physics and Chinese since my sophomore year of college (2016-17) and I am an extremely motivated teacher. Through my Junior and Senior year I was a teachers assistant in both upper level physics and Chinese courses. Along with these majors, I am well equipped to help with most any math skills. I am excited to help any and all who seek it. I have been a personal tutor in math for the last four (4) years. I have reviewed topics such as ratios, statistics, precalculus and calculus. Due to my experience, interest in math and my science background, I have become a well versed math tutor. This versatility in teaching also comes from my experience in teaching many different students who come with different needs and challenges in learning similar topics. When it comes to my experience in teaching in science, particularly physics, I have been tutoring/teaching for three (3) years. My skills in teaching not only come from my experience in tutoring and teaching, but my education, being able to research and learn new topics in order to solve a problem. When it comes to teaching the sciences, one must be able to package the same information in different ways in order to address the needs of different people. This has become a mastered skill. In regards to my skills in Mandarin Chinese, I have been studying the language since my freshman year in high school. Due to my many years of practicing and learning the language from international professor and students, I have become familiar with which parts of the East Asian language are harder to grasp for English speakers. From the grammar structures to the dreaded tonal words, I have developed effective practices to improve such skills I am friendly and happy to teach! I have an incredible amount of patience and am willing to work with your schedule and realms of learning that you are comfortable with! I am excited to meet and help in any way I can.
