I hold a bachelor of science in biology from the University of MN, have worked as a teacher's aide for the UMN Biology Program, and have spent scores of hours - in class, at the library or home, or over the internet - informally teaching pro bono. I work with students at all levels, of all ages. I have a relaxed yet demanding style, intended to guide students into "the zone" of absorption in the material. My cross-curricular approach works to integrate knowledge across school subjects and foster broadly useful problem-solving skills.
