I am a certified elementary teacher looking to make some extra money this summer helping your student retain what they learned this school year. I can work with students who will be starting kindergarten through 6th grade in the fall. Tutoring can be provided in-home or at a local library. I worked this past school year for Brandon School District in Ortonville but live in Sterling Heights. I have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and in Instructional Leadership. I will assess your child at our first session and then come up with fun and creative ways to help them work on skills that they need to practice as well as maintain what they have learned during the year so they are prepared for the next grade level. I can provide instruction in all subject areas but will emphasize reading, writing, and math. The base rate is $30 for 1 1/2 hours per student if you are also located in Sterling Heights but might be higher for those that require further travel outside of Sterling Heights. Rates can also be negotiated for multiple child families. I am available any time during the weekdays.
