I have taught Chinese to many of my foreign friends for long time; I understand the difficulty in learning a new language, and I also found many Chinese classes are not doing a very good job. So I want to change the way of learning and offer a more efficient and interesting class in helping students with Chinese studying. I am currently a part-time student in UBC; before this, I was working in a bank; I also have a Master degree in Economics from The University of Sheffield in England and fluent in English. Teaching Chinese is a part-time job; I think it's fun and I love to see students get progress under my help. :). Some of the key features that you may not find in other Chinese class. 1. Tailored one-to-one class. Location and teaching time can be flexible based on your schedule. We can meet and discuss about your current level and your goal, and I can design a special class that meets your requirements. 2. Learning language is fun! I will try to make learning more interesting, mixing with Chinese culture/history/traditions/food/travel etc, depending on what's your interests. (However I must say that for entry-level, you will still have to go through the basic hello/thank you conversation before going for more interesting topics). 3. Check your progress and guarantee teaching quality with daily practise. I will give you assignment and check your progress. Every week we will have a review and a test. Besides, You can leave me voice message by Wechat or WhatsApp for speaking practise. Price: (1) $20/hour on Skype teaching; (2) One-month beginner class package: $300/month with 4 hours per week on Skype. (The price includes my daily "new-words message" and answering any of your questions during the time). (3) If you live near 5189 Gaston St., Vancouver, BC and prefer face-to-face tutor, the price is $25-35/hour (depending on the meeting location and how many hours you want each week.
