I am a licensed teacher, who specializes in programs ideal for Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and learning disabilities. I am trained in all 4 levels of the Orton-Gillingham Method, Wilson Method, Kansas Writing Strategies, Handwriting Without Tears and Study Tools. I offer reading and spelling programs utilizing the Orton-Gillingham Technique and the Wilson Method, writing programs utilizing Kansas Writing and Project Read, math programs utilizing multi sensory approaches that include but are not limited to Singapore Math, Touch Math and Chicago Math Methods, study skills programs utilizing Study Tools, and handwriting programs utilizing Handwriting Without Tears. You may choose from in-person lessons in my home office and/or online lessons utilizing Realtime Board and Skype. I started my teaching career as an enrichment and remedial kindergarten reading teacher in Bloomington, Minnesota. I worked for 5 years as a special education kindergarten teacher at Groves Academy in St. Louis Park Minnesota. I continued my passion to help students in the Hopkins & Robbinsdale School Districts as a reading and math tutor. Before beginning in private practice, I worked as an academic therapist with the Integrative Medicine Clinic at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis and Park Nicollet Alexander Center in Eden Prairie.
