My teaching and tutoring experience spans over 10 years, and my students come from all ages and backgrounds. To help students master English, I assess their learning style and tailor the lesson plans accordingly because each student learns differently and at different paces. And I try to make the lessons fun and engaging! Grammar, sentence structure, essay composition, reading comprehension, spelling, homework help and language arts are my specialities, and for my ESL students, my approach is to blend the study of English with everyday conversational skills so they can apply what they learn in daily situations. For my international business students I use the Inlingua program, which provides language training, intercultural training, and interpretation services. I also provide online tutoring services. I hold both a BA and MS degree in Psychology and English (3.67 GPA), and have taught in both the public and private sectors. I am also a member of PRSA, The International Women's Writing Guild, Freelance Society of America, and Coach Training Alliance. Currently, I am attending an advanced writing course online through the University of Texas, which will lead to certification in advanced professional writing in the Fall, 2015. My hours are flexible and I do my best to accommodate my students' schedules.
