My name is Linda Reed. I live in Nashville, TN and offer tutoring/teaching/coaching in person or online for the following services: - ESL/EFL: English language teaching/tutoring for speakers of other languages - Accent/pronunciation coaching for Spanish, Arabic, and English - Academic writing coaching (high school through college levels.) - Copy editing/proofreading I am a CELTA* certified, native English-speaker. My bachelor's degree from MTSU is in Linguistics and Global Studies with minors in both Spanish and Communication Disorders. I have been an accent modification specialist and English language tutor for approximately one year. My clients have included professionals and university students from the US and abroad. I'm an energetic, upbeat person with a passion for travel, experiencing different cultures, and all things language. Improving your language skills, whether written or spoken, can be intimidating, even frustrating. My job is to make learning easier, faster, personalized, and meaningful. This begins with creating an atmosphere where my clients are comfortable learning and practicing, identifying their learning styles, and clarifying what they want from our tutoring sessions. I most enjoy working with learners who have clear goals/projects in mind but perhaps feel a bit lost in how to get there or have reached a particularly challenging point in their learning. Ultimately, students should leave tutoring sessions feeling empowered, focussed, and ready to continue working independently. My base rate is between $20-$35 per hour, depending on the service.
