I'm very interested in a School-Based Parent Coordinator/ Academic Coach position, where I can use my skills to help others. I believe I possess the necessary skills and experience you are seeking and would make a valuable addition to this position. As my resume indicates, I possess more than five years of progressive experience in the educational field. My professional history includes positions such as Academic Coach/ Advocate as well as communication and life skills at The Learning Room that I founded over twenty years ago. I have been doing this work since my son was in the second grade. The school was not able to allow him to go forward because he couldn't read. That's when I realized the need to help children along with helping my son in their academic studies. Most recently, my responsibilities as an Academic coach in The Learning Room match the qualification's that other's are seeking through Facetime. As the Academic Coach that I am, my responsibilities included dealing with students on a regular basis, interacting with their parents, and teachers, going up to their schools and dealing with situations that may occur, advocating for their parents and so much more. I assisted in the successful completion of helping the parent of one of my students get out of I.E.P.
