I have 7 years of tutoring experience. I used to teach full-time and currently I still teach part-time as a substitute teacher. I have travelled and lived in harsh areas so I know how tough it can be for some students who struggle for economic reasons. But ultimately, the same steps must be taken to truly learn a subject or tasks. (1)Instruction from and Expert and list 100% Attention Given to Instructor (One reason why Smartphones create Stupidity because they decrease the % of Attention Given. Even the sound of a text received takes the student off the 100% Focus) (2) Attempt with 100% Effort to do this task that Instructor either showed how to do or gave information on so that the student could answer questions for correctly with 100% perfection 3) Instructor walks around the room and looks for mistake and immediately corrects the mistakes (Even give the correct answer to a multiple choice question if it is a worksheet. 4) Instructor quickly goes over what they lesson was about and then gives home-work. (Homework should not be done immediately. Let the information soak in and then wait at least 2 hours. It will allow to brain to store it in long-term memory much better than if home-work is done immediately after class.
