Hello all! My name is Alyza Ngbokoli and I am a 2017 graduate of Williams College where I studied Psychology, French, and Africana Studies. Though academics and athletics (I ran varsity track) were extremely important aspects of my college career, I was involved in a number of extracurricular activities, my favorites of which stimulated my interest in working with kids. While in college, I've held positions as an educator to a variety of students in a variety of settings. For example, I was an SAT tutor for low-income high school students, a math tutor for first grade students, an English teaching assistant to high school students during my semester abroad in Paris, a teaching fellow to fourth graders of an summer after school enrichment program, and a youth mentor/tutor to elementary school aged children of an affordable housing community. I am a firm believer in the power of education and think all kids deserve the opportunity to love learning. As I continue in this field of work, my ultimate goal is to positively impact children the same way my educators, tutors, and mentors have so selflessly impacted me. I realize that summer is quickly coming to an end and school is starting back up.
