A. American Sign Language: Do you want to learn American Sign Language? Look no further! I have experience teaching children and adults, Deaf and hearing, ASL! Why should you learn ASL? 1. Parents: Babies can learn ASL at a younger age than they can learn to speak. Language is thinking! 2. ASL is the 4th (!!) most studied language worldwide. 3. You can use ASL to communicate from far away, underwater, or at a noisy bar. 4. ASL is a full visual/gestural language established independently from English. Bilingualism does the brain good! Why should you learn ASL from me? 1. I've been signing all my life, have taught ASL in a school board before, and I have been a teacher for the Deaf for several years. 2. I am a certified teacher with degrees in Child Psychology, Education, and Deaf Education. 3. I got lots of resources, textbooks, online resources so that your ASL learning can continue beyond our lessons. 4. I'm truly passionate about ASL, Deaf community, and Culture.
