I recorded them speaking out their weekly lesson and then they practiced with the recording at home. Created additional assignments catered to students’ personal needs, such as b/d practice for dyslexics, dictionary lists for new words found in the lesson, rhyme sheets, fill in the blanks, and paragraph correction. Beacon Literacy maintained a reading grade increase of one grade level, using the Boder Test, within 20 weeks. My students’ average was a 2.5 reading level increase. Math instructor: I created basic math curriculum for primary students, which included many varieties of worksheets focusing on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. General study skills: For high school students who needed help with English, science and social studies. Assisted with essay writing, knowledge retention (through memorization techniques like flash cards, acronyms, patterns) time management, and reading comprehension.
