Tutor in Kelso, Washington

Are you looking for an English or Essay Tutor? Are you or your child preparing for the SAT, ACT, or AP tests, or do you need a bit of help to get your GPA back on track? My wife and I live in Kelso/Longview, and I am available for English, Language Arts, and Essay tutoring anywhere in the Cowlitz County area. I have a long history of tutoring and child education through various grade school volunteer programs, church youth leadership positions, and independent guitar instruction. Although I have extensive tutoring experience, I don't believe that experience alone distinguishes a good tutor from a great tutor. Education requires dedication, flexibility, preparation, organization, and patience. Furthermore, it requires an intimate knowledge of language and literature that can come from a background in professional writing. As a published author and qualified editor, I've found myself well suited to assist students with any struggles or blocks that they may face. Insofar as my credentials are concerned, I'm a published author and business writer. As the sole owner and operator of Sidekick Editing & Proofreading, I have extensive experience with all types of creative and professional writing. After graduating from MSHS with a 4.0 GPA and a 2300 SAT score, I attended the University of Washington, from which I graduated in 2 years with a major in English Language, an emphasis in Creative Writing, and a minor in History. While at UW, I took several high-level classes in education--specifically in regards to English language. As a relatively young tutor, I connect easily with students, though my extensive experience with language and literature leaves me well equipped to help people of all ages and skill levels.
