I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Social Studies. I have worked in several areas of the education field throughout my professional career. I currently teach online phonics, language arts, science, and social studies for grades K-6. Prior to online teaching, I was a preschool director for seven years, where I was responsible for the early childhood education and care of children. My experience in an elementary classroom includes long-term substituting and student teaching. When I'm not busy with online teaching, I enjoy many outdoor activities with my children. I also volunteer in the oncology unit at a hospital, where I mentor parents and work with children facing life-threatening blood disorders. I find it exciting that technology has allowed us to share knowledge and skills with others anywhere in the world! I have always enjoyed working with children and being a part of their educational development. Now, I'm able to do this through online education. While my recent focus has been online education, I am open and interested in tutoring children in-person. I have a complete background check and several certifications
