Tutor in Portland, Oregon

I'm an incoming junior at UCLA, working toward by B.S. in Physics. I started college in the fall of 2014 at San Diego State University before transferring, and earned a 3.92 cumulative GPA there, with straight A's in all my math and physics related classes. I have completed the whole calculus series, including multivariable calculus, and the calculus-based physics series which includes mechanics, electromagnetism, waves and optics, relativity and even a bit of quantum mechanics -- I've consistently earned A's. I have about two years of tutoring experience. I worked at a math tutoring center called Mathnasium for over a year teaching and tutoring many different students in grades 2-12. I have always particularly enjoyed tutoring the high school and college-aged students, and have had private tutoring jobs on the side as well, mainly tutoring physics to other college students. When tutoring, I make sure to build off of the foundation of pre-existing knowledge and teach at the student's own pace. I am very patient and will always try new techniques and ways of explaining concepts for maximum effectiveness.
