Tutor in Alpine, Utah

My name is Johnita Morton Mitchell, and I am a math and science teacher with a degree from BYU in teaching physical science. I have been working for the past three years as the science teacher at a therapeutic boarding school for girls where I teach, tutor, and write classes for a wide variety of subjects including chemistry, physics, earth science, biology, anatomy, physical science, and all levels of jr. high/high school math. Prior to working at my current position, I worked as a paraprofessional at a k-8 charter school where I worked one on one with elementary and jr. high aged boys with various special needs, and conducted reading lessons with third graders with low literacy scores. In the past, I have done private tutoring for both high school and college students in math and science, and have ran a math and science tutoring lab for a preparatory high school. I am comfortable teaching a wide range of ages and abilities, and believe myself to be a very patient and caring tutor.
