Bedford With over 15 years experience in legal services, higher education, and successful business development I developed the love for combining education, technology and business. I enjoyed operations (both front and back end) in marketing, compliance, sales, and high level executive settings. I was a paralegal for many years and built law firms from ground up as well as managed over 20 attorneys and paralegals at once to ensure ethical behaviors were demonstrated to 100% efficiency. So there you have a little bit of my background. I am going to show you a lot more and try and explain in depth what roles I have under my belt. Looking back, all of my jobs seemed to be in opposite industries and I did not know what I was going to focus on. I didn't realize that what I was doing in the present had everything to do with my future. I promise you that they have all tied together quite nicely. I want to continue to make sure that individuals are receiving the same help I had when I was struggling. I focus on Finance, Managerial Accounting, Business Plan Writing, APA style course literature, College Counseling (you want to make sure you're going to the right one. Trust me!), and Academic Counseling. My passion and love for tutoring and counseling come from a life-long learner driven mindset and thirst for knowledge. I love to help others take a different approach when looking at their career options and academic goals. My patience and personal background in overcoming obstacles to receive my degree(s) in helping others recognize self-worth and a plan to action. My unfailing sense of advocacy for my students is ingrained in me and I will not ignore those who can learn from my experiences. I have worked with thousands of students in my time as an academic counselor to ensure student awareness about options before, during, and after their degree is declared. I love to show the value of writing a a business plan to those seeking to start their own business but do not know where to begin. I also prepare individuals for building those plans to ensure a successful startup. Orchestrating a business model involves knowledge of long term investment ideas, growth, sustainability, goals, motivations, finance, accounting, leadership and global presence. It is also an integral part of marketing and promotion which is another area I am passionate about. Growing up with a Father who owns a CPA firm for over 45 years instilled the business side of my personality. I helped my Father with office work beginning at a young age and watched with wonder how daily operations took place in order for it to grow successfully. My work history developing Law practices, ed tech corporations, and degrees in business qualify me to help those in need of a business mentor. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Management (GPA 3.3) in 2005 and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (GPA 3.9) in 2013. Both degrees were earned while working full time and raising my son. Hard work and the thirst for economic, financial and leadership skills drove me to further my education in business. My Godmother, a concert pianist, began teaching me to write and compose music at age 5 and continued to age 19 when I left home for college. I believe pianists have amazing work ethic, attention to detail and patience which correlates with my qualifications for career development, business and academics. Focusing on specific tasks, staying focused, and having a mentor all qualify me for piano mentoring at the beginner and intermediate levels. I entered The Piano Guild at an early age. Students are judged on individual merit, by a well-qualified music professional, in the areas of accuracy, continuity, phrasing, pedaling, dynamics, rhythm, tempo, tone, interpretation, style, and technique. Guild Founders Plaques with busts of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin were awarded to me over the years and are a testament to my hard work and dedication. Remembering that the human mind is such a powerful tool in your success is the first step. Those who say they "can", and believe they will, always succeed. Those who say they "can't" often find success in anything hard to conquer. There are 3 rules in my classroom. The first two I will tell you when I see you. The 3rd rule is the most important to me. That is you must keep the word "can't" out of the tutoring session.
