I am a native of Provence in South East France and travel back and forth between France and the US. I earned my Baccalauréat in Avignon with a focus on French literature, philosophy, and music. I have taught and tutored French (and other subjects at the high school and college levels) for years. I also do translations French-English/English-French. Whether you are a high school, college, or continuing education student, a businessman/woman traveling to France regularly, or a "francophile" who is eager to learn the language and experience the culture from a native's perspective, I will meet you where you are. I usually do a combination of conversational and written. Although I grew up in France, I am French American and speak both languages with no accent (a slight French accent in English!). Most of all, I love to teach French--conversation, pronunciation, writing, spelling, grammar, and anything you want to know about French culture. I have a great knowledge of the arts, especially the French visual and performing arts including fine arts, cinema, music, and theater. I believe that you learn and retain a language by focusing on topics you are passionate about. I am very personable and enjoy working with students of all ages, one on one or in groups.
