Hello, My name is Aspen Bishop. I just graduated from the University of Great Falls with my BA in Elementary Education. I am licensed in Montana and North Carolina, and I also have my special education certification in Montana. I have always wanted to be a teacher, but it was not until I worked for Flathead Industries, in Montana, as an assistant manager for a group home that serviced 8 developmentally disabled adults, that I realized how rewarding it is to work with the handicapped and struggling learners. I am qualified to give students the academic support they need to succeed and be excited about learning. I use a whole-brain approach which uses different strategies to engage the body and make learning active and fun. I prefer working with your student’s teachers in order to provide targeted support, so I appreciate contact information for anyone your student is working with. I specialize in the following areas: Elementary-Middle School General Education – I have taught students in grades K-6 and understand the milestones students must meet to be successful at each level. -With my students, I begin with assessments, a learning styles inventory, and goal-setting to ensure that they are self-directed and can measure their own success. I currently work at New Hannover County, Monday through Friday, so I would only be available in the evenings on weekdays, and on weekends. I offer private and semi-private sessions with reduced rates for larger groups of students. I prefer to set appointments at quiet, public areas; such as, libraries, coffee shops, ect.
