Hello! My name is Lydia Parker. I am a recent graduate of Oregon State University with a degree in History and minor in Religious Studies, and I hold an Associates degree from Linn-Benton with a Communication emphasis. I am also bilingual (Spanish/English). I am an awarded orator, presenter, and writer. I love the English language, and I believe that my work experience as a journalist attests to that. I also tested in the 88th percentile in the nation on the SAT's Writing section. I graduated with a 3.85 History GPA in June of 2019; I know what it takes to help students achieve success in academics. In my spare time I enjoy reading about history, philosophy, and especially science, from quantum physics to biology. I also love animals and nature. I love learning and helping people see their potential, and I think tutoring combines both of those passions. I personally benefited greatly from tutors in my elementary school days, and would love to give back. I also went to a small, private high school and know what it is like to have a teacher/mentor actually care enough to make a difference in my own life.
