I am a mother of two under the age of five who believes that knowledge is the most valuable tool that every child should have. As the homeschooled daughter of a certified teacher and a navy vet/historian a passion for learning is ingrained into me. I wish to share all the excitement that books and life have to offer with one or more lower grade youths who needs that's extra help capturing that knowledge. Though I am not certified I did receive education training at Bob Jones University during my 3 semesters as a music education major. Prior and post college experience I have successfully taught a variety of subjects including phonics, handwriting, earth science, beginner Spanish, and basic sciences to 5th grade and under. I am also an experienced competitive lyric coluratura soprano, and , though I am not an adroit pianist my vocal input is substantial. My own 4 year old sight reads with majority accuracy and is enthusiastic for knowledge and music with a discipline for study. My primary focus is reading. As Lewis said, "We read to know we're not alone." That is my own personal version of know child left behind that has given me a passion for teaching that no certification can provide.
