I´m Christian, a tutor of Spanish who wants an opportunity to apply my passion for teaching. I am a native Spanish speaker who lived almost all his life in Chile. My experience as a teacher began when I was in college. I was a volunteer tutor for children from low-incomes families. It was hard, but challenging. My reward was to know that the children enjoyed and learned at the same time. In my tutoring, I always try to find fun and innovative methods to teach spanish. When I worked as a trainer in Chile, my favorite task was planning and executing training programs. I learned how to train adults and how to engaged them with their own learning. My method is to focus in practical learning. First a personal plan is defined, with specific learning objectives adjusted to the student´s expectatives. Then I search for practical applications of the theories and concepts. Currently, I'm pursuing a Master Degree at Fordham University, so my available hours are most in the evenings or weekends.
