OUR MISSION: GET-SET-GO aims to empower students to sprint towards academic success. Recognizing that each student has unique needs, we go beyond conventional tutoring methods, taking a holistic approach to academic improvement. Through student-personalized learning, productive and genuine student-tutor relationships, realistic goal-setting, and results-driven evaluations backed by accurate record-keeping, we strive to uphold a standard of quality and effectiveness rarely achieved in classrooms and conventional tutoring at outstanding rates. ~~~~WHY WITH US?~~~~ QUALITY: We know our stuff! We’ve been boosting grades for years! John - B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, UCLA - 8 years tutoring experience Alice - B.S.A. in Mathematics/Economics and History, UCLA - 6 years tutoring experience TRANSPARENCY: We understand the parent’s concern for tutoring effectiveness. - We provide optional evaluation reports (every 6 sessions) outlining the student’s areas for improvement, strengths, in-session improvement actions, and suggested improvement actions outside tutoring. - We are proactive about promptly replying to emails and returning phone calls regarding any questions or concerns. CONVENIENCE: We keep it simple and easy for our students (and their parents). - There is no cancellation penalty. We do strongly encourage our clients to give notice at least 24 hours prior to cancelling a session. This helps us schedule sessions in a manner that is more convenient for all our clients - We neatly write and label in-session lessons and examples as entries in the student’s (take-home) GO Binder, and then systematically record them on a digital database. This allows us to assign specific home-review material by lesson/example number in a strategic and timely manner. - We are conveniently located in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood at the East Lake Community Club House in Yorba Linda, CA. The Club House offers free coffee, ice water, clean bathrooms, plenty of parking, and a beautiful, relaxing view of East Lake. ~~~~WHAT WE TEACH~~~~ MATH: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus to AP Calculus AB/BC, Calculus IB, AP Statistics, College Algebra (all levels), College Calculus (1, 2, 3), Linear Algebra, Differential Equations CHEMISTRY: Chemistry to AP Chemistry, Introductory Chemistry, College General Chemistry I & II PHYSICS: Physics to AP Physics 1 & 2, AP Physics C, College Physics (Classical Mechanics, Waves/Thermodynamics/Optics/Special Relativity, Electricity and Magnetism) ECONOMICS: AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics ~~~~WHERE WE TEACH~~~~ East Lake Community Clubhouse, East Lake Village, Yorba Linda, CA 92887 (We are not affiliated with the East Lake Community Club House; please do not contact them directly for questions regarding our service) - Beautiful view of East Lake and surrounding nature with plenty of free parking! - Spacious interior with clean bathrooms, water fountain, and free coffee ~~~~MATERIALS PROVIDED~~~~ A prepared student is a well-equipped one.
