I am a parent(adopted and bio)to 6 children. Of my 6 kids one has Aspergers, one has PDD-NOS, another is Autistic, and another is Learning Disabled. I have learned that sometimes kids have the potential to learn and grow their skills beyond what their Grades reflect or their IEP may say. I homeschooled my oldest 2 for 4 years and it was a very hands on experience that made me see how many kids need help that schools just aren't giving. If you have a child in 6th grade or under or is on the Autism spectrum(or what use to be) and they " just cant get it" please let me help. Ive learned flashcard tricks using their interest to help memorize and retain information. Every child is different and no single learning plan can teach them all. I beleive everychild who struggles does so because they are being forced into a box they were never meant to fit into.
