Business address:Head office -153 King St W Dundas, ON L9H 1V3 Work Location: Hamilton Location -392 Main Street West, Hamilton, ON L8P 1K4 Type of Employment:Full time– Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Weigh, lift, turn and positionclients • Supervise clients' exercise routines • Bathe, dress and groom clients • Answer call signals • Collect specimens • Accompany clients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to care and comfort • Administer first aid in emergency situations • Administer medications • Supply and empty bed pans • Serve meal trays and feedclients • Make beds and maintain clients' rooms • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings • Assist clients/guests with special needs • Help with the accessing of community support and resources for clients • Dealing with clients with mental health issues and other diagnosis • Help with some light housekeeping and food preparation duties Requirements: -Education: some secondary school and on-the job training is required OR a nursing aide or health care aide college or private institutional program, OR a college nursing orderly program and supervised practical training are required -Experience: Experience is an asset -First Aid certificate is an asset Personal Suitability • Interpersonal awareness • Excellent oral communication • Judgement • Effective interpersonal skills • Team player • Flexibility Salary:$20.00 to $21.00 hourly, 40 to 44 Hours per week.
