I am a 23 year old history major from The Netherlands. I have been classically trained in European history at Utrecht University and my specialization is American history. This allows me to provide my expertise in both subjects, while I can also connect the dots on a broader scale for world history. My expertise in teaching and tutoring is very broad. I have taught Chinese children of four in Shanghai (yes really - https://....be), tutored (and helped pass) students in middle school and helped (labelled as problematic) high school students pass their final exams in the Netherlands. Most students who have problems with history have incompetent teachers who have a broad knowledge of the subject, but fail to make it exciting. Here's where I step in. I help bring history alive by providing eye opening anecdotes, vivid details while at the same time painting a big picture. Because of my experience I am ready to tutor students of any age and at any level. For the first lesson I charge half my fee. It is important for me to get to know my students personally and understand where their problems with history lie. No contract is needed and my schedule is flexible.
