I love teaching but the classroom workload left me without enough time to read and write on my own. My passion for education remains. My practice has been to utilize constructivist curriculum with a holistic and healing approach. I’m expertly versed in current educational research and a wide range of literacy methodologies. Together, we will bring your child’s developing personality and interests into harmony with confident literacy and numeracy. We will demystify what can be a confusing and intimidating world of symbols, sounds, rules and exceptions. I’ll work with your entire family, your child’s teacher and any other relevant stakeholders to investigate what your child needs to get to the next levels in reading and writing, and math, whether that means getting on to grade level, or getting beyond grade level to become eligible for accelerated or advanced learning programs.
