I am here to help your child: - Complete their homework - Improve written communication skills - Write essays and papers - Work through components of major projects in a timely fashion ABOUT ME (KARLY): I am a Master's graduate of Communication Studies. I have a BA(H) in English Literature (yes, I can help with Shakespeare!). I am a kind and patient individual who brings new techniques for learning. I know how to help your child organize their thoughts and ideas onto paper. I am also able to help with major projects that your child is putting off! EXPERIENCE: For 11 years, I have been a tutor for students of all ages and abilities, from primary to Grade 12. I also have considerable teaching experience at the University level as a Teaching Assistant. I have marked hundreds of essays and have an excellent grasp of curriculum expectations for reading and writing skills. I am also an experienced tutor for children with learning disabilities. Every child learns in a different way and oftentimes one-on-one tutoring is the answer to a child’s difficulties with their schoolwork. I CAN HELP WITH: - Learning Disabilities or difficulties (identified or unidentified; 11 years experience) - Elementary reading, writing, and comprehension - High school English classes (including writing mechanics, essay structure, thesis statement, quotes and references, creative and critical thinking) - Social Sciences - History, Geography, Law - Other subjects available upon request.
