Michael D. Bodensteiner taught English, history, math and social studies to students in the 5th through college levels. In addition, these lessons were provided to students in the country of New Zealand, the states of California and Idaho. On the academic side, my training was fulfilled in 1986 with the graduation from Canterbury University of New Zealand with a Masters Degree in International Relations. Since 1992, there has been a lapse in my teaching record due to health reasons and major surgery. Having fully recovered now from the latter, it is desirable to pursue the one skill that has always stood out, helping others learn the rudiments of education. My teaching preference aims at both college level and high school students. Moreover, my own personal character has always included some involvement in the field of sports. For example, while teaching in New Zealand I was Head Basketball coach for my home school of New Plymouth Boys' High School . While in the states and within my own family I coached my daughter, Clare the fine skills of playing basketball. Clare finished her training under her father and earned a full ride scholarship to play basketball in college at Stanford University. Now that all three of my daughters have married and start raising their own children, my plan would be to start a grandpa Bodensteiner coaching clinic filled with my own grandkids.
