Our after-school tutoring program seeks talented, experienced tutors in all subject areas for students between grades 5 - 12 for (Physics, Chemistry, Math, Biology, French, and English). We help both struggling and gifted students reach their full potential by supplementing the instruction they receive in class and guiding them toward study practices and aides that can help them excel. Our Tutors work with a group of maximum three students. Our Education Directors offers compassionate, motivating assistance and training to our teachers. If you have experience tutoring children, please submit an application. Learning Minds requires all subject tutors for the 2018-201... school year who can teach classes from grade 5 till grade 12. The following are proponents of the job description: 1. Potential tutor must provide non-classroom, academic instruction to students on an individual or small-group basis for proactive or remedial purposes. 2. The tutor is encouraged to participate in training and development sessions to improve tutoring practices or learn new tutoring techniques. 3. Tutor must review class material with students by discussing the text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments. 4. Tutor must provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students. 5. Tutor must assess students' progress throughout tutoring sessions. 6. The tutor is expected to teach students study skills, note-taking skills, test-taking strategies, and active learning strategies.
