I teach at all levels, from the very beginner to the advanced, how to play guitar, bass and piano. My teaching methods help the student to learn more quickly how to play their instrument. All students master their instrument through ear-training and learning music theory (how music works). Many of my students have started their own bands and have joined other music programs. I can prepare the student for a jazz (improvisational) program as well as a classical audition. Please understand that it takes time to learn to play an instrument and that a person should plan on at least 2 years of study, just to get started! It is a wonderful investment of your time and money because of the lifetime of joy it will bring you and others. Becoming a musician helps with keeping the mind sharp as we grow older and enables children to learn other subjects much better. Learning takes time. I have always had a knack for being able to communicate well with all types of different people. Some people learn more through listening, others through touch, and others through sight. We all learn differently and a good teacher knows how to help you understand. I have students that are now leaving me to continue their education in universities and colleges after having studied with me for 8 or more years. I feel proud of my student's musical abilities when they go on with their life. They sometimes contact me years later to tell me about how much they enjoy their music. Studying music will enrich your life in so many ways. It keeps your mind sharp and your spirit young. It trains you with self-discipline. Music is a universal language and will help you to communicate and express yourself in a new way. I look forward to helping you advance in your music goals.
