Tutoring Up-Grades, a small business located in Poughkeepsie, NY, is looking for a professional, dedicated tutor to help local students get great scores on the SAT and ACT. In this position, you will be responsible for meeting with high school students one-on-one at our location, and providing them with personalized instruction and guidance toward achieving their goals. You will be a great fit for this position if you have strong math skills, great interpersonal skills, an ability to learn new things quickly, patience, open-mindedness, a great sense of humor, creativity, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of students. Prior tutoring experience is not a necessity but is a plus. A willingness to train and learn new methods to better help students is a must. This is a part-time position. Most tutoring hours take place between 3-8 PM on weekdays, and during the day on weekends. We are looking for somebody who would like approximately 10-20 hours per week.
