ETHS seeks enthusiastic, dedicated tutors/mentors for 9th-12th grade students enrolled in AVID, a national college readiness system, and other academic support programs at the high school. Responsibilities include facilitating twice weekly small group tutorial sessions, individual tutoring, grading student work and mentoring students about the college experience. This part-time position is ideal for those pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in education, college students in all majors, former teachers, or anyone with the desire and ability to help high school students succeed academically. Familiarity with high school math and science preferred but not required. Tutors needed for all levels of high school Math, Science, and Spanish. Location: 1600 Dodge Avenue, Evanston, IL Compensation: $16/hr Hours: Part-time – must be available to run small group tutorials on Wednesdays and Fridays between 9:30am-2:30pm.
