Hello there! I see that you are in need of a tutor. I would love to help out. My name is Caitlin and I have five years of experience as a tutor for multiple subjects. I most commonly aid students with English skills such as grammar and writing essays. However, I have also assisted students with subjects such as research, basic math, statistics, economics, biology, dance and art. I have completed many courses at the associate’s level, along with all of my bachelor’s coursework, online. Hence, I am capable of helping students with online learning. I believe I can help any student who is struggling. I am skilled at understanding the root cause of frustration for a particular subject, allowing me to determine the focus of our tutoring sessions. Growing up I did not always understand what my teachers told me, and that was only made worse by my sister, who in her best intentions, confused me with her explanations that were filled with incomprehensible language. Therefore, I take great pride in finding alternative ways of expressing those same ideas until the student understands. I have tutored an adult student for five years in several subjects. This particular student has graduated with four degrees while maintaining straight As and receiving high honors. Another student I helped was able to improve his writing skills so much that he no longer receives Ds or Cs on essays, he now receives As and Bs. Before you hire me, you may want to know a little more about my personal life. I am a 22-year-old female, born and raised in the Napa Valley. In addition to college degrees, I am certified in CPR/AED, which is important to my job as a licensed Zumba and aqua aerobics instructor. I enjoy dance, music, art and cooking. I do not have any addictions to illegal substances and I have never even tried an illegal substance. I love animals, my friends and family. I recently graduated from American Public University, where I received my fourth degree. I attained a BA in Political Science with honors, while becoming a member of the Golden Key Honour Society. Previously, I attended Napa Valley College and achieved three AAs in Natural Science and Mathematics, Social and Behavioral Science, and Psychology. I became a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society through my studies here. I look forward to going back to school once I have paid off my student loans.
