I originally went to Stony Brook University to become a pharmacist. I took all the premed classes and became a Chemistry Teaching Assistant where I fell in love with teaching. I dropped Pre-Pharmacy and pursued my teaching license. I got my teaching license in 7-12th grade Social Studies and with my science background also passed the supplementary state teaching exams in Chemistry and Math. I have enjoyed helping students understand the subject they are studying for more than ten years. My goal as a teacher is to make myself progressively unnecessary. I teach the skills and techniques needed to make sure the student can learn the material by themselves. The academic school year just started. Now is a great time to get help with the subjects you do not understand. Don't wait till the end of the year to try to pass your end of year exams.
