We are a family with 4 children (10,12,1...). French is their mother tongue and they are fluent in English and Spanish. We are convinced of the benefits of homeschooling and have decided to devote our life to the education of our children. Our motivation is mainly excellence. But this new adventure allows us as well the freedom not to live anywhere. That means travel and discover some of the most beautiful places on this planet all year round. We travel & relocate about every 3 months (among which we spend 4 months in the most beautiful skiing resort in Europe during the winter). We are looking for exceptional teachers, excited to travel the world with us. We only go to beautiful places! We started homeschooling in September 2016 and can already see the improved quality of education in and for our children. We currently have an exceptional, experienced and motivated teacher that travel with us, covering sciences and humanities. The bulk of the education material is provided on Internet platforms. Utilizing tools like khan academy, where the role of the teacher is not to teach, but to coach. Education for us, is based on mastery of every concept. Our children are following in parallel the CNED, the French online lycée, and K12 (an American online accredited school) as well as Stanford Online High School. Other external teachers provide additionally ad-hoc specialized teaching via Skype. Our current teacher will unfortunately be leaving soon, so we currently need to fill this position. The minimum skills and experience that we require is: Master degree in Physics, Math or Chemistry from a reputable university. Humanities knowledge will be a plus. Fluent in English and French (curriculums are taught in both languages). Spanish would be a plus as the 4 children are trilingual A valid Schengen, UK, US or Canadian passport Relevant experience in teaching up to the end of high school Totally proficient and comfortable with computers, modern media and technologies in general We are looking for someone who is positive, curious, enthusiastic, loves to work, has a passion for this work, is helpful, flexible, discreet, well-travelled, comfortable with uncertainty, resourceful, problem solver, independent, and pleasant. As we are traveling all the time and lodging our dear teachers, we can’t unfortunately have candidates that are in a long-term relationship. Unless the partner happens to be a teacher in humanities ( English literature, essays, history and philosophy ). And that the partner is available to be hired and travel with us as well.
