Tutor in Chesapeake, Virginia

I have been tutoring various levels of Math (arithmetic, prealgebra, algebra, geometry, precalculus, trig, calculus) and Science (physics and chemistry) for the past 6 years. I also cover test prep, such as SAT, ACT, GED, ASVAB, etc. I have a Ph.D. in chemistry, a subject which I have also been teaching for over 20 years at a Community College. I received "Best of Chesapeake" for tutoring for 2011-201.... I have my own website at tidewatertutor....., and have several reviews on websites such as Thumbtack..... and Universitytutor...... My availability is generally 6 days per week, and I also tutor in the summer. Meetings are face-to-face, one-on-one. However, if distance is an issue, I can meet via Skype or FaceTime, which I have done very successfully several times. You do not have to pay in advance, nor set up a minimum number of sessions. Meeting times are flexible, based on customer needs. My sense of humor and warm personality helps students feel comfortable, and I love to explain things and break down concepts, so students will "get it" -- and leave feeling good, and that they really learned something from the session.
