Tutor in San Antonio, Texas

My name is Julian Banks. I just moved back to San Antonio (but I do Skype tutoring as well if you're not local) from New Jersey. I went to Princeton University undergrad there (Chemical Engineering), and I just finished up my masters degree at New Jersey Institute of Technology (Environmental Engineering). During this time, I've done tutoring and have over 1000 hours of experience in SAT, ACT, Math and Science curriculum and even English and Reading tutoring.

If you need help in anything Math or Science related let me know and if it's something new or in another subject, I'm always willing to tackle a challenge. I consistently score perfectly on the ACT and SAT and I really enjoy learning and helping others to appreciate learning as well.

I think most people just had that one teacher who really turned them off to the subject or hit a road block where they started believing that they just weren't "smart" in that subject and gave up. My goal is to help my students/clients see that subject in a different light and make connections that show them it's not just some boring, abstract useless topic, but that most things are interesting if you learn to "tilt your head" in the right way!

I have pretty flexible hours and can meet in home, public locations or even tutor via Skype (I have a graphics tablet to write on and software to share an online whiteboard). I'm comfortable with almost all levels of math and science (including Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Trigonometry, etc.), just let me know! I also do GRE Quantitative and prep for SAT, ACT, and most other standardized tests (TSI, TAKS, etc) and paper editing.

For pay I tend to go with a broad range ($25 - $50) depending on what you need help in, how many hours and how many people in a session. If you're in a tough spot financially, I can also see how I can work with you. I don't think anyone should fail just because they couldn't afford $5 more an hour or something silly like that.
