Hi, my name is Anthony, a senior at Mount Saint Mary College. Recently, a friend told me to advertise about being a tutor for other families after I had tutored her daughter in math. My friend was pleased to tell me that her daughter placed the highest in an 8th grade honors math! Now, this is just one story. You see, I have been a tutor and student advocate for several years now and I work for a not for profit in Newburgh as a one-on-one mentor for a young man with disabilities, going on 6 years now. I am a history major and math, and psych minor with a certification area of childhood and special education. I am not setting a price to work with your child because I take into consideration the needs of the family I work with and any financial struggles. I do have a heart as my friends say, so I am always willing to take a cut to help a child. A little more about me: I am one of 5 people selected in the entire country to change Appendix B in the Common Core state standards. What does this mean? Once adopted fully, you will see more multicultural texts taught in classrooms around the USA. I have studied the common core inside and out and all of my lessons are aligned with them.
