Tutors for Mathematics, English, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) wanted for high demand Richmond Hill Tutoring Center. There are a total of two positions available (one for highschool students, one for JK-Gr 9). We tutor Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Fridays 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:45 PM. Priority given to individuals with two weekdays Saturday availability. Successful candidates will either reside in Richmond Hill region or have their own transportation to the Tower Hill Plaza. Tutors need to be able to break down concepts in terms students can relate to and understand. You will work between individual students, offering instruction and encouragement. At the conclusion of each tutorial, the tutor prepares a report for each student, covering concepts reviewed and how the student coped with the material. Tutors are responsible for up to five students per hour, but deal with students separately, no group sessions. Prospective tutors handle mathematics and English from Grade 1 to 12 and high school science is preferred. Priority will be given to individuals who can handle Advanced Functions, Calculus and Data Management, and at least one of Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Priority also given to candidates who can handle English Creative writing and Comprehension subjects.
