Tutor in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

I am a recent college graduate looking to tutor middle school and high school students in math and statistics. I graduated in May 2017 with a degree in Statistical Science at Cornell University. I have previous experience tutoring middle and high school students. I was also a Teaching Assistant in Introductory Statistics at Cornell for one semester. I wish I had discovered the opportunity to TA on campus earlier - it was wonderful sharing my passion for statistics with my fellow students. I have been devoted to my academics since elementary school. I know what study habits and time commitments are necessary to prepare for high school and college level academics. More importantly, I know how to communicate them to students in order to minimize their academic related stress. Encouraging strong study habits and planning ahead are important parts of my tutoring program. I believe showing students how to develop a mental checklist in order to succeed on homework, chapter test, or AP Exam is integral to future success. My specialties in math range from Algebra I to AP Calculus. As a statistics major at Cornell, I can also help students achieve a 5 on the AP Statistics exam. I can also help students develop proper study skills in Reading, Writing, Science, and History, even though this is not my area of expertise. I was captain and four year starter on the golf team at Cornell, and recently moved to Palm Beach Gardens. I'm currently pursuing a career as a professional golfer. Hours in the mornings and late afternoon to evening are preferable.
