Tutor in Mechanicsville, Virginia

After teaching middle school math and Algebra I for two years, I decided to step away from full-time teaching to start a family. I am looking to still help students though and would love to make math a little easier. I have also tutored elementary-school students in the past and would be willing to tutor math from 1st grade through Algebra I. This summer I can offer extra practice and guidance through skills and during the school year I'd be happy to help with homework and continue to offer extra practice if needed. I am available to meet at the Mechanicsville Library every Tuesday evening (timeslots are 6-7p, 7-8p, and 8-9p), every Thursday evening (timeslots are 6-7p, 7-8p, and 8-9p) and also the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month (timeslots are 10a-11a, 11a-12p, and 12p-1p). $25/hr for one student, $40/hr for two students (must be same grade level), $50/hr for three students (must be same grade level). Math unfortunately only gets harder as students get older and early intervention is key to helping fill in learning gaps and becoming more proficient with basic skills. While I was a math teacher, I have had some training in college with other subjects as well and would be willing to help with reading and history too.
