I have been involved with Foreign Languages since I was 9 years young, when I travelled to Portugal to visit my grandmother. Since then I developed a passion for learning and communicating in several languages. I am a native Spanish speaker and have studied English since I was 11y/o, having done my first English to Spanish translation for a friend at the age of 14. I loved the experience and whenever I had a chance I practiced, practiced, practiced by translating every single English text that crossed my path. I'm also very skilled when it comes to technology. I have been working and learning computer programs since I was a teenager, and I'm a fast learner with a logic and analytical mind, which allows me to see beyond a simple phrase or scenario to find a solution or an explanation. I have lived in the USA for the past 14 years and have tutored Spanish to English Speaking students of all levels for the past 10. From basic Spanish to college level and conversation. I teach both in person and online via Skype. Some students just want to have conversation and sometimes we just do phone conversations. I also have done proofreading of translations made by other translators to find the best way to "interpret" the English version into the Spanish version, to keep the message clear and communicate accurately what the English version intended.I also have helped students taking translation and interpretation in College, to get a better idea of how to interpret a text and do a better translation. I am very patient, responsible and committed. I'm a fair person and I communicate with others to make sure all parts involved are aware of what's being agreed. I'm a positive, solution and detail oriented person. I'm always striving for doing and being the best I can do and be. I'm also a creative and resourceful person, which is required to think about solutions. I'm open, truthful and honest, and hope to receive the same.
