I have a California Teaching Credential from S.D.S.U. and a Master's Degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I have over 20 years of teaching experience. I taught advanced reading, writing, listening and speaking to undergraduate students at SDSU's American Language institute for ten years. Since 2004, I have been teaching ESL to non-English speakers (age 18 to 80) for Sweetwater Unified School District and am still employed there. I specialize in pronunciation writing and communication skills. I am very patient and easy going. I use encouragement, not criticism. Learning is a process and everyone makes mistakes, so it is better to be relaxed, laugh and have some fun while learning.
