Dear Sir/Madam, I have spent ~10 years in GE’s largest R&D facility outside the US – the John F Welch Technology Centre in Bangalore, India, which is a Gold Star rated facility. I am a qualified Chemical Engineer with a Masters qualification from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, New Delhi. I have also completed my Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Calcutta in 2002 I came to know about your position from Indeed. I have a passion for teaching students and I seriously want to take up teaching as a career profession here in Toronto. During my college and university days, I taught chemistry to high school students for 3 years. I have a Permanent Resident status here in Canada and therefore eligible to work. I would also be able to start work immediately too since I am not employed right now. I stay with my wife Surela and my 10-month old daughter Ananshi in Toronto. I have validated by education credentials through WES and have a valid IELTS score (overall score 8.5) as well a CLB Assessment (ELTPA score 10 , which is their highest) done from YMCA, Greater Toronto Area. This is ample proof of my superior language abilities and my written and oral communication skills, which I can use for the benefit of the students. I want to showcase my skills in teaching, student handling and engagement. My experience in GE has taught me leadership skills too which I would be able to impart to students helping them prepare for the competitive careers ahead of them. Although I do not possess any relevant teaching certifications right now, I am sure that I will be able to contribute well and adapt to the work culture here.
