Tutor in Chowchilla, California

Dear parents and students, I am currently accepting K-12 students, public or homeschooled, who are struggling with reading, writing, and/or grammar in school. Aside from studying as an English Education major at Fresno State, I am a published author. I work with children of special needs as an instructional aide with the Madera County Office of Education. As a tutor who has worked with students in after school programs in Madera, CA, the overwhelming amount of students who attend these programs make it difficult for students to individually get the attention they need. As a prviate tutor, I will ensure that your child is successful in understanding the material. My primary tutoring objectives are that students strengthen their critical thinking skills, learn compelling essay writing (i.e. developing effective arguments, research reports, or personal essays), enhance their reading comprehension, and meaningful literary analysis. We may also cover text interpretation, such as understanding Shakespeare. I also can assist in college preparation such as personal statements and college applications. Each tutoring session is $12 an hour per student. I tutor students in Madera, Fresno, Chowchilla, and Merced.
