Hello, My name is Victoria, and I am a current senior at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am a major in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Science. I was a tutor my junior and senior years in high school, and I really enjoyed it. I have also tutored multiple students, in various subjects, at the college level. In fact, I am currently helping a student work his way through his online Spanish course! My tutoring style varies depending on the person's needs. For example, one of the students I tutored during high school really had difficulty conjugating in Spanish, so I asked him to write the endings down multiple times until he was able to use them without having to look at the book or his notes. I am also very big on practicing. I don't just want the tutee to tell me they know it, I want them to be able to show me that they know it and can apply it. This also allows the student to actually retain the information for the future instead of just cramming it for the one test and then not remembering it a month from then which definitely doesn't work for Spanish! So far, I have tutored students in Spanish, Biology, Environmental Science, English, and Math. I have tutored at various levels including elementary school, middle school, high school, and college. Although I have tutored multiple subjects, my two passions are Biology and Spanish. My specialty (and favorite subject) is Behavioral Ecology, specifically Animal Behavior. I absolutely love having the chance to help other people with something they are struggling with. Tutoring also allows me to refresh myself on certain subjects that I might not have studied in a while but still need to know for my current studies; however, it is really just an added bonus. I provide in-person and online tutoring. We can meet at your home, library, coffee shop, or another location of your choosing. Rates are negotiable!
