Subjects: Chinese (Mandarin), English, Spanish AND SAT & AP subject tests in those languages. About me: Fluent in Mandarin, Spanish & English. Raised in a bilingual home (Spanish and English); attended high school in Beijing, PRC, where I became fluent in Mandarin. National Honors Society tutor of English, Mandarin and Spanish Certificated New York University tutor and student. For the duration of summer 2016, I worked at the Brooklyn studio of Chinese artist, Xu Bing, as translator (Mandarin-English/English-Mandarin) and office intern. I was also charged with website design and maintenance tasks. This position heightened my attention to detail and the importance of revision and proofreading as polish to academic and professional assignments. My editing skills have only been heightened this year, as I assumed the paid position of proofreader for students at NYU’s Silver School. Each day I scan over papers, correct errata and help students with formatting (MLA/APA), grammar and orthography. As a student of literature with a grade point average of 3.9, and as a recently published young writer (Esferas, issue 6), I believe I possess the skills, discipline and drive to contribute to any student's needs with the utmost productivity, responsibility and creativity that their course demands would require.
