Selected testimonials from courses I taught at UT Austin: "Alex was a wonderful help to our class throughout this course. It was evident that he truly cared about the progress of his students he always offered extra office hours, invited us to attend his other T.A. sessions if we needed more assistance, and even spent hours outside TA sessions or office hours of one-on-one time helping a friend of mine who was finding the material very difficult. I benefited immensely from the T.A. sessions I credit much of my success in this class to his clear and simple explanations of concepts. Alex obviously cares about mathematics, his students, and his role as an instructor very much he was a wonderful asset to this course." (Fall 2012 - M408L) "Definitely the best TA I have had. Always very helpful and obviously cares greatly for students. Often went above and beyond what was required of him for ex compiled a comprehensive review for midterm." (Fall 2012 - M408L) "I learned more in discussion session than lecture! Thank you for actually teaching us. The casual atmosphere of discussion helped. I also appreciated how you taught using examples, esp examples from the homework, because that's more helpful than the proof. You were also really generous to always stay a bit later and help with individual questions" (Fall 2012 - M408L) "Alex was always prepared to answer our questions to the best of his knowledge. Also, he was very easy to talk to about anything in general. He is one of the best TAs I've had so far" (Fall 2012 - M408L) "He is an amazing TA. He has helped me so much in this course. He did a better job teaching than the teacher. Working with him is a joy." (Fall 2012 - M408L) "always available to help when I need it - gave us extra practice and work to help study for tests - explained the material in a much easier to understand way compared to the professor - helped us out a lot on homework assignments - nice, friendly, and caring" (Fall 2012 - M408L) Honestly you should be begging Alessandro to become a professor at this university. Every time I stepped into his discussion or office hours I felt as if I was learning something immediately and grasped the concepts with ease. He communicated every concept very well and always welcomed questions as well as thoughts, and was very personable." (Spring 2013 - M408L) "I enjoyed this TA very much. He was really helpful in explaining the homework and examples. He knew exactly how to portray the information to me. He should definitely continue to TA as long as he is here at UT. Future calculus students will surely appreciate him." (Spring 2013 - M408L) "Alex is a great guy and an even better TA. He truly cared about our success in this course and with out him, I wouldn't have done nearly as well as I did in this class. At times he thought me the material better than the professor did. Alessandro is the best TA that I have had so far and probably ever will." (Spring 2013 - M408L) "Alex is the best TA I've had since I've been at UT. He taught the course better than my instructor I believe he should have switched places with the professor and taught the lectures while the professor taught the TA section. I learned more from Alessandro in one TA section than I did in one lecture from my professor." (Spring 2013 - M408L) "Alex is a brilliant TA that has the gift to communicate math in a very comprehensible way." (Spring 2013 - M408L) "Best TA I have ever had. Considering this was a fairly difficult calculus class, Alex helped me understand and apply the material much better than did the professor." (Spring 2013 - M408L) "He was an awesome TA!!!! did a very good job of explaining everything!! i learned most of what i learned all semester from him and not the proffessor!!" (Spring 2013 - M408L)
